New Group Forms to Inform Voters

Liberty Forward to Promote Fiscal Responsibility

March 22, 2007, Liberty, MO. - A new committee made up of residents and business owners in Liberty has been created to help educated Liberty voters. The group, Liberty Forward, is dedicated to keeping Liberty an attractive place for both residents and businesses.

"We are all directly impacted by the decisions made in Liberty government," said Liberty Forward treasurer, Lisa Essig. "We are focused on making Liberty a place where people want to live and businesses want to locate."

Liberty Forward is based upon the basic principles of democracy. "The voters of Liberty need to know that everything is not okay in Liberty," remarked Essig. "Each vote will count, but each vote should be an educated vote. I"m not sure the average voter knows that the financial decisions being made have led to wasteful spending and deficits."

"We get the government we deserve," said Liberty Forward member and fifty year Liberty resident, Gary Moore. "If we are not active in government, we are letting others make decisions for us. It is time to get active."

Liberty Forward will continue its work after the elections as a grassroots organization. "We will be a watchdog on our elected leaders," claimed Essig. "We will make sure their votes reflect the values and desires of Liberty residents."
